Ways to Give:
Qualified Charitable Distributions

A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is one of the most tax-efficient ways for individuals age 70½ or older to support the Elizabeth & Patrick Nash Foundation. A QCD allows you to donate directly from your IRA to our nonprofit without including the distribution in your taxable income — often resulting in meaningful tax savings.

Why a QCD May Benefit You

  • Your QCD counts toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), reducing taxable income.

  • Lower taxable income may help reduce Medicare premiums and taxation of Social Security benefits.

  • You can contribute up to the IRS annual QCD limit (currently $105,000) directly to qualified charities.

  • For many donors, giving via QCD provides greater tax advantages than taking a taxable withdrawal and making a separate charitable gift.

Your Impact

Your QCD directly supports our mission to extend and enrich the lives of people with cystic fibrosis through programs such as:

  • The Patrick Nash Fellows Program

  • Academic Scholarships for people with CF

  • The Elizabeth Nash Memorial Research Fellowship

  • Cystic Fibrosis Research

Thank you for making a meaningful difference.
