Academic Scholarships:
How to Apply
Each spring the Elizabeth & Patrick Nash Foundation awards academic scholarships of $1,000-$2,500 to assist persons with CF to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Who’s Eligible?
US citizens with CF who are entering or current undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited US-based college or university.
Selection Criteria
Scholastic record, character, demonstrated leadership, service to CF-related causes and the broader community, and financial need.
Award Details
Grants are made directly to the academic institution to assist in covering the cost of tuition and fees
Grants are made for one year; however, individuals are encouraged to re-apply for subsequent years

Letter of recommendation from a teacher
Confirmation of CF diagnosis
Academic transcript
Specific details of fees and tuition costs from academic institution
Scholarship recipients must also be willing to assist the Foundation, at the Board of Directors’ request, by writing up to 10 donor thank you notes or fundraising letters.
2026-2027 Application Deadline
April 1, 2026. Due to the volume of applicants, incomplete or late applications cannot be considered.
Award notifications will be sent via email by June 1, 2026.
